Mega Eelektross

The Mega Evolution of the EleFish Pokémon

Mega Evolution has greatly powered up the yellow electricity-generating organs on its torso and arms. Not only has their electrical output increased, but they can also now produce electrified mucus. Mega Eelektross can expel large amounts of this mucus from the ends of its arms and form it into shapes resembling Eelektrik. Its charged-up electrical powers also allow it to float in the air continuously.

Those Are “Snot” Real Eelektrik

The electrified mucus emitted by Mega Eelektross forms gelatinous, Eelektrik-like shapes at the end of each arm, collectively called “false Eelektrik” by scholars—the left one being “Eeleftrik” and the right one “Eerightrik.”

The false Eelektrik give Mega Eelektross improved stability when swimming. It can swim almost twice as fast as it could before Mega Evolving.

The Shocking Benefits of Mucus

Most electricity that Mega Eelektross generates goes to the false Eelektrik flanking it. That electricity is powerful enough to stun and paralyze Pokémon as massive as Wailord.

When Mega Evolution wears off, the mucus that formed the false Eelektrik melts away and disappears. However, it can be preserved in its jelly-like form through freezing. Some people put this preserved mucus to new use in beauty regimens or strength training, though it’s not clear how much benefit it yields.
